Arrived on time in perfect condition. Product packaging was inside plain shipping box.

Easy to set up. Proprietary connectors on one end of the speaker cables but unterminated on the other. I was able to re-use my existing surround speakers (which are difficult to get to) with no problem. Speaker placement settings are manual but easy to do.

The unit is very small but delivers great sound. Speakers are comparable to Bose in size. Subwoofer is passive but delivers reasonably good bass. Several equalizer modes including a bass-boost.

Netflx and Hulu streaming are flawless with no re-buffering. I had that problem with my old Samsung Blue-Ray player but this one is fine.

DVD up sampling is excellent. I see no need to buy Blue-Ray discs.

inexpensive Kids Birthday Party Locations

inexpensive Kids Birthday Party Locations

While throwing your child a birthday party is high on any parents list, most people don't want to spend a fortune for the celebration. Depending on the time of year and your budget, there are some great options for the location of the party (other than your home).

If you do determine to throw a party face your home, be sure to contain your child in the location decision. If the child is young, you may want to bring them to the location prior to the party so that they can get comfortable and excited about the upcoming event. Most Kids look forwarding to chance their presents at the end of their party. So anyone choice you choose, make sure you set aside a special place where all the party goers can place the birthday gifts.

1. Town Park Shelter. Many local communities offer rental shelters at the parks where they have picnic tables, grills and play tool for the Kids. The older children can go play while the adults hang out. The food doesn't have to be gourmet, instead keep it straightforward and easy like barbecuing hot dogs or burgers or a couple baked lasagnas with salad. Effect up with a fun birthday cake from your local warehouse club, grocery store or your own kitchen.

2. Fast Food Restaurant. Both McDonald's and Hardees offer kids parties that contain a party hostess, food and cake at reasonable prices. The other great thing about these restaurants is that many have Playlands or plastic ball pits so that the kids can be entertained while the adults chit-chat and relax a bit.

3. Children's or Science Museum. If you have a larger budget, a local science or children's museum can be a great place to hold a birthday party. Some places have party hostesses and contribute some supplies, so just check what they contribute in your city. You may only need to bring a birthday cake and presents.

4. Movie Theater. Many towns have reasonable or dollar show theaters that will rent out the entire theater or give you big group reduction as well as discounts on snacks and soda. Some theaters will let you bring in some of your own snacks and a cake so just check and see what can be done at your local theater by speaking with the manager.

5. Neighborhood Club House. If you live in a planned community, chances are that you have a club house in your neighborhood or apartment complex. Often these rooms are whether free or can be rented for a nominal fee by residents. The club house would likely give you more room than your home, but it would still be close enough that you could set up the birthday party relatively easily. Not to mention, you don't have to clean your house!

6. Local Fire Department. Often times, local fire departments have rooms that they will allow local residents use for free or for a nominal fee. Some fire departments will even give the children of a hidden birthday party a tour of the department and let them try on some of the firefighters' gear and get their photos taken. These pictures make great keepsake gifts for all the children.

The Top 3 Problems With Plasma Tvs

The Top 3 Problems With Plasma Tvs

It's easy to be right away drawn to a plasma Tv screen, especially one that is displaying full Hdtv programming. The optical charm is amazing. And plasma Tvs tend to be among the lower cost thin screen technologies that are ready today. But there are a few problems potential to the compose and you should at least be aware of them before production a buying decision.

The Top 3 Problems With Plasma Tvs

The Top 3 Problems With Plasma Tvs

The first is that plasma Tvs use inert gases that are illuminated to display colors on the screen. The way that this is ended makes for very high contrast, vivid images on the screen, but it also can be affected by high altitudes. If you live above 6,000 - 7,000 feet above sea level, you should know that plasma Tvs have to work much harder to produce the same image than they would at lower altitudes. This may not cause an immediate problem, but over time the monitor wears out much faster due to the extra work load. So if you happen to live in high altitudes, just bear this in mind when buying a plasma Tv.

The second question that plasma Tvs can exhibit is a susceptibility to screen burn-in. This happens whenever any static image stays on the screen for a very long time and is still faintly graphic even when the image changes. It is said to have been "burned-in" to the screen, and can be very irritating to see a ghost pattern still graphic as you Watch Tv. The easy way to avoid this question with older plasma screens is to make sure that you don't leave the Tv on when you are not Watching it, and especially when pausing a video game for a very long time. Thankfully though, newer plasma screen Tvs have technology built in to address this question that subtly shifts the image to surrounding pixels as you Watch and essentially keeps the image interesting although your eye does not detect it.

The third plasma Tv question that we will discuss is the heat it generates as it runs. Plasma screens often cause so much heat inside the unit that manufacturers normally install a fan to cool it down while operating. This genuinely works very well, but on some models the Noise that the fan makes can come to be an annoyance. So listen for this question determined before you buy.

None of these problems are major sufficient to say that you shouldn't buy a plasma screen Tv, but they should be understood beforehand so you can use the tool properly, and choose the right plasma Tv when you buy.

Plasma and Lcd Tvs look the same, but they are not. Some features or options don't differ a lot, but these are the major differences:

Size

If you arfe finding for an extra large Tv, go for a plasma. Plasma Tvs are the current size champions, particularly when comparing Tvs that consumers can assuredly purchase. Lcds are catching up in size with their developing technology, however, and may surpass Plasmas in the near future. This may be due to difficulties in producing glass large enough for larger plasmas.

Burn-ins

With the newest plasma technology, this is less of an issue than ever before. The Pixel Orbitor, for example, is a formula of reducing burn-in used by plasma manufacturers. It requires no further programing from the end user as some older burn-in prevention techniques did.
Note: If you plan to use a plasma for gaming, some games with permanent 'dashboards' may still cause some burn-in. If you will be using the television for display use only, go for an Lcd. Plasmas are more likely to get burned-in pixels.

Miscellaneous

- Lcd Tvs are far less fragile than plasmas. This is also an benefit when the tv set has to be shipped or Moved to a different location.

- Lcd Tvs are also much easier to setup than plasma Tvs.

- Lcd Tvs have a great operation at high altitudes.

- Lcd Tvs are often cheaper than plasma Tvs. The disagreement in pricing is getting smaller, however.

Ofcourse, all this facts is available all over the web. For a detailed comparison sheet, I advise using Wikipedia's comparison sheet.
